  • The people at Great Zimbabwe engaged in a variety of economic activities including:
  • hunting
  • gathering
  • mining
  • the paying and receiving of tribute
  • pottery making
  • blacksmithing (ironworks)
  • trade (both domestic trade and with other tribes and early europeans).
  • pastoralism (mainly cattle and goats)
